FAQ
What is the difference between a Registered Dietitian and a Nutritionist?
The difference comes to regulation. While anyone can call themselves a nutritionist, a Registered Dietitian has completed the required education, training and testing to receive the certification. Registered dietitians are also required to complete a certain number of continuing educations hours each year. In my case, I got my Bachelor of Arts from NC State, and my Master's in Public Health Nutrition from UNC. I also completed my dietetic internship through UNC. I took the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) Exam and am licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina.

What is an empowerment coach?
We tend to get stuck in identities that hold us back from reaching our full potential. Demands from family, work and day to day living can make real change feel impossible. I believe that the universe is abundant and we all have the power to be deliberate creators of our lives. As an empowerment coach, I help clients recognize the patterns that are keeping them stuck and learn to take back their power to manifest their desires.

How do I schedule an appointment?
There are a few ways to schedule an appointment. You can reach out to me directly at 919-413-3489 or harmoniahealingandwellness@gmail.com. You can also book directly on this website.

Is Harmonia Healing and Wellness, LLC a right fit for me?
The most important step in becoming the best version of you is making the decision to get started! The second most important step is finding the right person to support you along your journey. That's why I offer a complementary discovery call so you can ask your questions and can determine if we're a good match.

Do you take insurance?
I am an in-network provider for BCBSNC. Most North Carolina plans cover nutrition counseling at 100%. If you have an out of state plan, you can reach out to them directly to verify your benefits. I will file claims for you.

How long are appointments?
The initial visits for both nutrition counseling and coaching are 60-90 minutes, while follow up visits are 45-60 minutes. The complementary discovery call is 15 minutes. Short on time? No problem! Just let me know ahead of your appointment.

How often do we meet?
Whatever works best for you and your goals. I find that for most clients, weekly or every other week appointments are helpful as you get started. As things progress, moving to monthly appointments generally works well.
